Frequently Asked Questions

What is an herbalist?

Simply put, an herbalist is a plant friend.

Herbalists study and spend time with plants, including “weeds” and other wild plants, as well as those that are cultivated for specific purposes and uses.

We learn about how these humble beings have evolved to give special assistance to humans, and how we can call upon these allies to support our optimal wellbeing.

Many herbalists undergo formal training, while others learn from their ancestors and even the plants themselves. There is no “one-size-fits-all” definition of an herbalist or how to be one, just as there is no single plant that is better than all the others.

What are flower essences?

Energetic allies that support our emotional wellbeing.

A flower essence is a liquid extract that captures the energetic imprint of flowers. These extracts are similar to other energy therapies and modalities, such as sound therapy, color therapy, homeopathic remedies, acupuncture, and others.

Research has shown that Flower Essences are an effective, safe way to receive the benefits of flowers into our lives. Your Flower Essence blend will be created specifically for you based on your session with our herbalist.

What is Sound therapy?

Sound therapy uses vibrations and sounds to promote healing. Similar in concept to medical and other technology uses of sound, sound therapy creates frequencies and resonances that interact with your body and energetic layers. Our certified sound healing practitioners use crystal and Himalayan singing bowls to create these frequencies for you.

Methods of experiencing sound therapy include sound baths and vibrational healing sessions. During a sound bath, you relax into a comfortable position, often seated or lying on a mat, and let the sounds wash over you. We offer both group and individual sessions at our Fort Myers office and occasionally book other locations for groups.

We do vibrational healing sessions on an individual basis in our Fort Myers office. This is a closer experience with the singing bowls, as they are positioned and moved around you during a session.
